Family of Swede Mtn Shepherds
My husband and I live off grid on 20 acres in NW Montana. We work for ourselves and homeschool our 3 young children. We have a small hobby farm consisting of our GSDs, cats, chickens, pigs and a pony. Our family works together to care for and raise healthy and happy family dogs and guardians. We spend much of our time outdoors, walking, biking, hiking, swimming and camping. Our dogs participate in all activies, and are part of the family, as well as a source of protection. Where we live, we are surrounded by State and Forest Service land. There are many predators that live around us, and our dogs do a wonderful job at keeping them away and our children safe.
AKC LITTER CERTIFICATE
Each puppy goes home with a copy of their litter's AKC Litter Certificate, tracing 3 generations of the litter's linage.
Testing Used
We use both OFA and PennHIP tests to evaluate joint health, and help lower risks of dysplasia in the puppies we produce.
We also use either GenSol Diagnostics to test for carriers of Degenerative Myopathy (DM), and/or the Full Embark Panel testing for over 200 genetically inherited disease, including DM.
The puppies we produce are not at risk of developing DM.
We also take our dogs through obediance classes, including Canine Good Citizen (CGC) training. The CGC title shows the dog has passed a behavioral evaluation, and is well mannered in a variety of circumstances and environments.

After puppies are born and we know what is available, a $200 non-refundable deposit will reserve a pup of preferred gender. At 6 weeks of age, buyers will get to choose their puppy in order of deposits received. Remaining balance due at pickup, when puppies turn 8 weeks of age.
COST
Prices vary depending on gender and color.
Price typically ranges from $1,000 -$1,800 limited AKC registration. Full registration is occasionally offered for an additional fee.
